Woman playing piano with focused expression.

Ashley Frye

I am a pianist, accordionist, organist, and music educator currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy at Temple University. My background combines classical performance, private instruction, collaborative music-making, and ensemble leadership. I am passionate about helping students develop strong musical foundations, become independent learners, and discover their own interests in music.

  • Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance — Old Dominion University, 2021-2025

Teaching Experience

I have experience teaching private piano lessons and group piano, including my own private music studios in Virginia and Pennsylvania. I currently teach piano at Merion Mercy Academy and serve as a teaching assistant for group piano at Temple University.

My teaching experience is supported by my studies in piano pedagogy and my work with students of all ages and experience levels.

Performance & Musical Experience

Beyond piano teaching, I am an experienced accordionist and composer, serving as first-chair accordionist with the Stas Venglevski Music Foundation's accordion orchestra. My piano and accordion experience spans solo and ensemble performance, teaching, and collaboration with instrumentalists, musical theater, and commercial entertainment groups. I have also worked at Liberty Bellows in accordion repair and instruction, served as a church pianist and organist, judged a music scholarship competition, and held leadership roles with Accordion Renaissance, a nonprofit music organization.
